Naruto Manga Volume 1 Chapters 1-7

Summary: Naruto is a 12 year old boy with the Nine - Tailed Fox sealed within him. The starts off with Naruto in a Ninja Academy working on becoming the best ninja in his village. He learned about the demon fox inside him. Becomes a ninja and meets his 3 man squad along with his strange teacher. Naruto must now pass his Senseis test or he will be sent to the academy.

New Characters:

Naruto Uzumaki: The main character of the series. Naruto is an energetic 12 year old with the hopes of becoming the next hokage. He has an obsession with ramen noodles and has a crush on his team mate Sakura. 

The Third Hokage: Took back his position as the Hokage after the Fourth Hokage died saving the village from the Nine Tailed Fox by sealing it into Naruto. The Third made it a law to keep this information a secret from Naruto in the hopes that he would be considered a hero. 

Iruka Sensei: The teacher at the Ninja Academy. Iruka teaches young children the basic skills to become Genine (Rookie Ninja). This includes basic ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu. Iruka's parents were killed the night the Fox attacked the village so he feels for Naruto growing up without parents.  

Mizuki Sensei: A teacher at the Ninja Academy, Mizuki wanted to steal the scroll of sealing and used Naruto to attempt to get the scroll but was stopped when Naruto used one of the scrolls jutsus to defeat him. 

Sakura Haruno: Naruto's team mate, Sakura is a new genine with the hopes of becoming Sasuke's girl. 

Sasuke Uchiha: Naruto's team mate and rival, Sasuke is a serious new genine who can use fire type jutsu. This mysterious boy has a past that we do not know ago.

Kakashi Hatake: The head of team 7, not much is known about Kakashi other than that he has the power to send team 7 back to the academy.

Thoughts: Naruto is very obnoxious but he works hard for what he wants and I respect that. He has taken the first step required in order to get his goal. He has a very interesting team to help him on his journey. I am curious about Sasuke, the dark man with a mysterious past. Makes me wonder who he wants to kill. I find Sakura annoying but this is based off a first impression. Kakashi is a strange character but maybe there is wisdom behind the mask thats what Im hoping for.

End: Here is the first book of many. As promised I will crank through some of Season 1 of the show before I start reading Volume 2 on Thursday.
